Feel free to stop "contributing" to this conversation. Um die Durchschlagsdicke ohne IFHE zu bekommen musst du einfach die x1,3 weglassen. Take a North Carolina, give it 10km secondaries and a repair party that reloads in 30 seconds. T8+ BBs have 32mm plating/bow/aft which you also can pen with IFHE. And no, checking armor schemes in this game isn't comparable to writing bachelor thesis, doesn't take weeks. Captain Skill Calculator for World of Warships. For Tirpitz this number would be increased throughout her career to at least 78 guns. The reloads are a tad bit different.
In the current state of the game, even though I'd say Brawling Battleships aren't the ideal thing, Massachusetts over Tirpitz for several reasons. Which ship out of the two would everyone prefer for mid-close range combat and secondary build? I believe Massy actually holds a slight edge, due to her main guns and her consumables, but Tirpy's torpedoes can't be ignored. Tirpitz is still a great ship for beginners though. While the Massachusetts only gets 1/6 pen on its secondaries, they are all 127mm and IFHE gives them 27mm of penetration. IFHE Secondary build puts too many "if" to be considered anything but meme. I explained my reason for asking the question. [ELEC]
Thank you all for your input. The main armor belt had a thickness of 320mm, although on Tirpitz it was slightly thinner at 315mm. Hence, I ask because I know there are others who know the numbers very well. Massachusetts has 127mm secondaries, nine 406mm guns (vs Tirpitz's eight 381mm guns), better AA, and a short cooldown on its repair party . The armor protection had to be reduced after the main battery was increased to 38cm, this leads to the main belt being actually thinner on preceding classes. I can play it a bit more aggressively and hopefully rely on my secondary's to help get ride of DD's,BB's, and the two type of cruisers (don't know the short term for them, I know i am noob when it comes to that) And then, only place where you get something out of value from IFHE would be 105mm guns, which become effective against almost all cruisers and few unarmored battleships. They are more accurate and have the nice ability to overmatch CL's at high tier with those 406's. Dazu kommt dass ein DD, der sich darin fängt zwangsläufig Modul für Modul einbüßt. I'd understand resistance for learning school stuff like physics, chemistry etc you don't find entertaining but doing research on something you, supposedly, have fun doing shouldn't be that hard It's time consuming. While the Massachusetts only gets 1/6 pen on its secondaries, they are all 127mm and IFHE gives them 27mm of penetration. And for short answer, investing into secondaries isn't worth it unless you consistently yolo within their range every battle.
The primary differences are found in her main and secondary batteries. Thank you sooo much for your opinions it means so much! Mass without hesitation, have both stopped playing the Tirpitz when I got the GK. [WDS] With her handling characteristics, there are two primary ways to drive this ship: either joining the main wave as part of the battle line, or as the capital ship for a cruiser group that did not join the main line to form a flanking unit. The Tirpitz was a lot of fun in the old days, but it has been power crept by the anemic performance of the 15" German main battery guns versus her peers. Oh and that awesome "super" heal. It was a valid one. Personally I've gone with concealment to help get into position and disengage when I need to heal up. I think so and be sure you have manual secondaries enabled . [C-CA] Bismarck and Tirpitz really need the 1/4 pen buff on the 105s that FDG got in January... [C-CA]
